About Us

The Zonk Group, Inc. is a professional manufacturers’ representative firm serving the electro-mechanical industry in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas and the Maquiladoras on the Texas border. The manufacturers we represent are proven industry leaders in engineered hardware (including fasteners, latches, hinging mechanisms, electronic access locks), mechanical and electronic components, contract assembly services, and the various complementing disciplines of the custom metal and plastic part fabrication industries.

Management

The Zonk Group, Inc. is owned and directed by John Lanzillo, CPMR. When you see these initials after the name of a Manufacturers’ Representative, you know you’re in good hands. The CPMR designation, Certified Professional Manufacturers’ Representative, is used by graduates of the Institute for Professional Advancement’s certification program, administered by the Manufacturers’ Representative Education Research Foundation (MRERF) and certifies a representative has five years or more experience in the Profession and sales management, that has successfully completed a three-year course, including on-campus university residency, covering all the financial, legal, long-range planning, succession and management issues inherent in operating a state-of-the-art professional multiple-line field sales organization.

Facilities

We own our 13,000 square foot building, 1505 Precision Dr., Plano, Texas, which is close to the Technology Corridor with quick access to the expressways serving North Texas and surrounding territories and 22 miles from the DFW airport.

Our facility includes a large state of the art training, conference and product showroom. We maintain a professional office environment, with full computer automation, and the latest computer software and equipment. We maintain a large customer database, track sales activity utilizing a robust account management system by Empowering Systems, and we use Microsoft 365 Outlook for all company email. We have a new IP office phone system and all salespeople are connected via mobile phones and laptop computers.
